Hey there! My name is Abby Cabrera. I have my bachelor’s degree in nursing, and worked as an ICU nurse for two years. I am currently pursuing my doctoral degree in nurse anesthesia at Bryan College of Health Sciences. Throughout my schooling, I’ve discovered how truly influential and life changing a good mentor can be. I think every child deserves to have someone see out their true potential and support them every step of the way, which is why I am so excited to be on the BBBS board! I am a Grand Island native, and I am passionate about this community and the people here that continue to make it thrive! Our community is like a young plant, we can thrive and grow together with the right mix of nutrients, water (stay hydrated friends!) and light. I believe this city is filled with people that can serve as a light to watch the next generation of leaders plant their roots and grow big!
